Pumpkin Picking is in the Air!

I’m going to go over a look that’s perfect for fall festivities! Apple picking, pumpkin picking, a fall themed party – this outfit is situationally appropriate. Let’s take a look.. Shirt: Rails | Sweater: Forever 21, similar | Denim: James Jeans, similar | Shoes: Schutz | Handbag: Chloe, similar When I think of pumpkin or apple picking outfits it’s always classic denim, a warm colored plaid shirt and brown boots, maybe a brown leather jacket and an off white scarf depending on the weather. In fact, that’s what I wore last year. This year, I wanted to take a less standard, edgier approach, and…

Fashion Friday: Keeping Warm & Looking Cool

Happy Friday! Today is all about keeping warm while achieving a look that doesn’t make you look like you belong in Antarctica. It always becomes increasingly difficult as it gets colder out, to look good during the Fall. My main priority is always keeping warm. Let’s face it, I’m the person who’s cold in the air conditioning in the Summer, so being warm from October-April is top priority. This doesn’t have to mean compromising your style though. Lets take a look at this Friday’s outfit.. Shirt: Forever 21, similar, similar | Faux Fur Vest: Cejon, similar | Denim: Joie, similar |…

Sweater Weather

Chunky sweaters over sweaters are perfect for optimal warmth (aka my favorite thing ever). I’d say about half the time, even if you have the most gorgeous coat on, it destroys the out outfit. OK, maybe I’m exaggerating a little, it doesn’t destroy the outfit, but it hides it. And I dislike when that happens (I mean don’t we all?). So my point, sweaters keep you from having to wear a coat, probably until around December, which is great! Lets take a look at this weeks outfit.. Quarter Sleeve Sweater: Guess | Cowl Neck Sweater: Forever 21 | Leggings: Timing |…

Fashion Friday: Into the Night

No, I mean literally into the night. Since Summer has ended, I’ve found it increasingly difficult to take pictures after work. So these are a little dark, but I still love them. I chose a look I would definitely wear out at night. Lets take a look. Blouse: Reiss | Pants: Paige, similar | Shoes: Gucci | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff I love these pants, they’re something I see myself in all fall/winter. I paired them with a blouse which happens to be grey and light pink, so I thought these new Gucci shoes (that I bought myself for my birthday) went…

Fringe on Fringe

One of my favorite trends this fall is fringe. All fringe everything. I’m obsessing, sorry I have to control myself or I’m going to spend all my money on fringe outfits to just never wear again until the next time fringe is in. Pro tip: only buy a few trendy pieces each season. I get it’s hard sometimes not to go crazy in a trend you love, but let it go. You’re just wasting your money. (Hashtag lets be realistic) I digress, my point is just be smart with your style, sometimes more is too much. Let’s take a look at this…

Just another Motivation Monday!

There is nothing easy about working hard. Even if you love what you’re doing, it’s still a lot of hard work, time, dedication and sacrifice. Personally, I’m someone who doesn’t function well without a decent nights sleep. This is why it’s so important for me to budget my time accordingly. From 5:30am-11pm I’m constantly going. It’s not an easy thing to do; I’m tired a lot and I get cranky towards the people I love the most. Balance and scheduling are very important for success. Make time for fun things to look forward too while you’re working hard and not…
