Watermelon Margarita Recipe Straight from the Watermelon!

If you follow me on Instagram, you would know I was off from my 9-5 all last week. I spend an entire week on the North Fork lounging around and it was much need. So, to end the week off right, in collaboration with my boyfriend and his Aunt Sandy, together we made this tasty watermelon margarita recipe straight from the watermelon! We had extra tequila on the side for shots and for those who liked their drinks extra boozy! Yum! What you’ll need:  1 seedless, ripe watermelon (about 10-12 pounds) 2/3 cup Tequila (I used Casamigos Blanco) 1/3 cup fresh lime juice 1/3 cup orange flavored liqueur (I used Cointreau)…

Westchester Magazine Food And Wine Festival: What To Try!

Recently I attended the Westchester Magazine Food & Wine Festival with the Journal News, @lohud. If you’ve been on the fence about going, it’s definitely worth it! I had so much fun. Today’s post is for my Westchester locals. I’m rounding up some new restaurants I’ll definitely be trying out and my favorite rosè’s and where to find them! Layout: The event takes place at Kensico Dam in Valhalla. There were two or three large tents set up and there were food and wine stations outlining the tents. You walk around and pick up food and wine at each station.…

Summertime Frozé Ice Pops – Thank Me Later

These are probably one of the most delicious cocktails I’ve ever made. Cocktail ice pop? Whatever you want to call them, they’re GOOD. The ones in this photo, in particular, have lasted in the freezer all week. And they’re so easy to make. So follow the instructions below for my summertime frozé ice pops and thank me later! So first, you’ll obviously need your rosé. I started out with a bottle of Adorada rosé. You can buy it here. The flavor is delicious, with hints of strawberry yet not too sweet. Making it perfect for frozé. Or just regular drinking! Haha! Other items…

Rosemary Honey Spritz with Peony Vodka

Today I’ve teamed up with a Hudson Valley local vodka company, Peony Vodka. Let me tell you this stuff will get the party started! It has such a mild taste that I wanted to add more to the drink when I first tasted it. I’m so happy I didn’t because halfway through I was already feeling it. This stuff is potent! I also love working and using local companies because they are a great conversation starter and who else better to support than your neighbors! Creating beautiful impressive cocktails is a skill I’ve always wanted to possess. Now more than ever I’ve been…

I Used Nexxus Products For A Month. Here’s What Happened.

I’m pretty much up for any challenge, so I decided that a great way to try out my new Nexxus hair products (c/o) would be to try them for a month straight. But first, let me take you back to the beginning. I started this process with an official protein treatment hair mask at the Nexxus Salon in TriBeCa. The salon was nothing short of spectacular, in both aesthetics and function. The first thing I noticed when I walked back to get my hair washed was the funny looking chairs and sinks. What I found out is that the chairs…

BLVD Westchester – Take the Best Care of Yourself at this One Stop Shop

Photos by: Amanda Elle I’m not good at sitting still. And even when I do, my mind is constantly on a subject that I think needs my urgent attention. I know I’ve given advice about relaxing and taking care of yourself, but the truth is, I’m the one that needs to take my own advice. Even when I attend events I’m always trying to be strategic. I think about who should I talk (usually I try to find the PR person that invited me). I also like to talk to blogger’s I haven’t met in person before and think about…
