Fashion Friday: Rosie Cheeks & Shoes

This Friday I based my outfit’s color scheme off one of my favorite burberry scarves. Shades of wine are a go to in the Fall/Winter, but this scarf happens to have wines, pinks, mauves and purples commingled in the timeless burberry plaid. I picked out a few pieces that were similar in color and added in black as my base (had to, maybe it’s a Westchester thing but black is my life). Anywho, let us take a look.. Casual Wednesday: Mustard Yellow

Wine shades of the world, beware. Mustard yellow is quickly becoming a fall staple that’s here to stay. As much as I love deep red tones in the Fall/Winter, I still find myself searching for other season appropriate colors. I love wearing this muddied yellow color as it’s bright and alive but clearly not something you pulled out of your Summer wardrobe. Let’s take a look.. Cardigan: Aqua, similar | Blouse: Loft | Denim: JBRAND | Booties: Steve Madden | Bag: Chloe, similar I wore this to my cousin’s 6th birthday party last weekend. As I’ve said before with these booties,…

Fashion Friday: Leather Skirts

I’ve been looking for a nice leather skirt for the longest time. Fortunately for my bank account and PETA, I haven’t found a perfect one just yet, but I have found a perfect FAUX leather skirt. This week, I paired it with a oversized blouse, trench coat and suede booties. It’s the perfect casual meets dressy look. Blouse: Romeo and Juliet | Skirt: Tinsel | Shoes: Steve Madden | Coat: Guess I love wearing an oversized shirt or sweater with a skirt. It’s so much more comfortable than wearing a tight shirt tucked in. Pairing a flowy feminine blouse with…

Casual Wednesday: Coping with the Weather

The not so fun part about Fall, is always the weather. Is it going to be hot, bitterly cold, raining or snowing? The answer: Who knows?! Certainly, sometimes I don’t think Mother Nature even knows what it’s doing. Today, I’ve dedicated this post’s style to rain boots! Let’s take a look.. Top: Splendid | Vest: Athleta, similar | Denim: Seven for all Mankind, similar | Rain Boots: Stuart Weitzman | Hat: Burberry  I’m so happy that in recent years, rain boots have become a lot more fashionable, with designers adding new prints and styles by just getting inventive with rubber/plastic.…

Thanksgiving at Someone Else’s Home, Style: The Guest

I don’t know about you, but when I eat during Thanksgiving, I don’t stop. It’s the most disgusting day of the year food wise, as I always eat until I’m about to pop. So with the next outfit I chose, I took that into consideration. I went with a oversized sweater and a skirt that sits above my stomach (Haha), lets take a look.. Sweater: Guess | Skirt: Alythea | Booties: Tory Burch, similar This outfit is so easy to throw on for dinner with your family. It’s important to look nice but to also be comfortable, especially if you’re…
