Motivation Monday: Don’t give up

Keep it moving. No matter how many mistakes you make you’ve got to keep moving. I can’t tell you how hard it is for me not to dwell on my mistakes, but over time I’ve learned to just let it go. If someone keeps bringing up your past mistakes they belong in your past too. I’m in the business of moving forward and you should be too! Today I challenge you to let go of your mistakes. Keep moving forward because that is where you success will lie. XO, Simone Instagram | twitter

Motivation Monday: Kindness

I LOVE this. I’m definitely the type of person that talks a big game, but at the end of the day I would always pick up anyone up that has fallen. I don’t like seeing anyone suffer. I feel like, especially living in New York, near NYC, everyone is always judging (and grumpy for that matter). At the gym, on the streets, at work EVERYWHERE. It’s not your job to judge how I look, what I wear, how I get my work done. It’s your job as a human to be kind. To pick others up, help and teach instead…

Monday Affirmation

This is definitely easier said than done, but it’s something I try to practice everyday. I wake up and remind myself to be thankful for each day. It’s hard enough going through a routine and doing the same things over and over again, it’s another thing to actually enjoy what you’re doing. Committing to being happy each day (over time) does actually work. You end up in this habit of happiness instead of complaining and crankiness. Today I challenge you to choose to be happy and to live in the moment of today. You deserve to enjoy each day and…

How to survive a Monday after a three day weekend

Buy some shoes, obviously. HA and you can also survive your Monday by reading my motivational post below: My mom has always told me the exact opposite of this post (ie. to always work and to always have my own money and to never rely on anyone to support me), but I think this quote is all to true to many women. I always hear people “joke” and say to someone find a rich man. Hello, a rich guy could suck and much as a poor guy. So why not focus on you and your career and find someone you…

Monday Motivation!

I’m very lucky that early on my Mom told me that not every one is going to like me. I’ve always lived my life totally ok with the fact that there are people that will just not like me, there are people who won’t want to be my friend and will only wish the worst for me – and that’s ok. I’ve also met a lot of people who can’t deal with that fact. I couldn’t imagine having to learn that lesson in my 20s. My advice on this is simple, fuck people who aren’t on your wavelength. If you’re…

Motivation Monday! Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Think about this, in 5 years you can be doing something TOTALLY different than what you think you’ll be doing in 5 years right now. (FYI I HATE that interview question, and I’ll always go with CEO, hashtag sorry not sorry LOL) I don’t think any one person is meant to be just one thing. I love meeting people who when to school for anthropology who are now working in a hospital, the people who swore they would be a dentist when they were 15. It’s doesn’t matter what you choose to do, as long as every time you choose,…
