Motivation Monday! Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

IMG_3727.JPG

Think about this, in 5 years you can be doing something TOTALLY different than what you think you’ll be doing in 5 years right now. (FYI I HATE that interview question, and I’ll always go with CEO, hashtag sorry not sorry LOL) I don’t think any one person is meant to be just one thing. I love meeting people who when to school for anthropology who are now working in a hospital, the people who swore they would be a dentist when they were 15. It’s doesn’t matter what you choose to do, as long as every time you choose, you follow your heart. Just because you love statistics now doesn’t mean you won’t find your love for fashion or history in the future.

This week I challenge you to keep your mind wide open. It’s ok if you don’t know what you want to do in 5 years. Always look for new opportunities that interest you. You will always do well in anything you choose if you truly want it. If you’re not in love with you latest decision, find what you love. You will always be great if you’re doing what you love.

XO,

Simone

I honestly don’t know what I’m doing in five years. But I was asked 8 years ago: “Where do you see yourself in 10 years?” – so not the question to ask a 20 year old during a job interview.. I had no answer except “10 years are so far ahead that I have no idea. But if you ask me 5 years, all I can say is that I hope I am happy and doing something I enjoy.”.
8 years later I’m still trying to find something I love, but I sure did love the opportunity I got after that question.

That’s awesome! I never know what to say, it’s so bad I hate lying because I really don’t know. But I agree with you 100%, I always want to do something I enjoy. Ps. We survived another Monday!

Hey! I was linked to you through the community pool and I’m glad I decided to read. Honestly, I needed this. I’m fifteen, clueless and have lots of pressure to decide right now. Thanks for that and have a great day! 🙂

LOVE this and the fact that you say future CEO! Who run the world? Girls.
Not knowing where I’ll be in 5 years is both terrifying and awesome. Thanks for the great post!
