Motivation Monday!

In each stage of my life thus far, I’ve learned to take things less and less personal. First, it was in elementary school, I learned not to take it personal if someone didn’t want to be my friend. In high school, I learned not to take it personal, if a teacher or coach got upset with my class or team. Today, I continue to learn not to take it personal, if someone doesn’t want to collaborate with me or join my team at work. It’s a beautiful thing when you realize it’s not always about you. I don’t think I…

How to survive a Monday after a three day weekend

Buy some shoes, obviously. HA and you can also survive your Monday by reading my motivational post below: My mom has always told me the exact opposite of this post (ie. to always work and to always have my own money and to never rely on anyone to support me), but I think this quote is all to true to many women. I always hear people “joke” and say to someone find a rich man. Hello, a rich guy could suck and much as a poor guy. So why not focus on you and your career and find someone you…

Monday Musings

Persistence, tenacity, hustle, ambition – key traits that one must possess to be the best they can be. You can be the most naturally talented artist, but that doesn’t matter if that’s not what you want. But – if you’re naturally talented at something (or even if you’re not) I’m a firm believer in manifesting anything your heart desires into your life. If you want something bad enough, and you work hard for it, you can have anything in the world (I will re-confirm this once I get my spacious NYC apartment). If you want to be the best accountant…

Monday Affirmation

Personally, I sometimes feel lost in all my passions. It happens from time-to-time. In college, it was declaring my major and deciding what school to transfer to (depending on said major choice). After college, it would be deciding what jobs to look for to start my career path. I always like to have a plan and a direction, but sometimes I let all my fire get me. Sometimes I’m lost and I can’t make a decision (Libra probs) and other times when I finally decide my direction (it takes a lot of over analyzing/obsessing on my part) I’m more driven…

Motivation Monday

Oh how Monday always rolls around again and again. As you read this, I’m sure you’re tired, maybe you’re having your coffee or haven’t even gotten out of bed yet, but with your cranky pants in all – you’re all missing something. What you’re fighting through right now is the obstacle in the way of your success. The tiredness, the wish to be shipwrecked on a deserted island, the dread of dragging your ass to work – that’s all that stands in between you and your next big opportunity. When you put it into perspective, and look to the bigger…

Motivation Monday!

The worst thing you can ever do is compare yourself to someone else. Your day one can be someone else’s day 100, we’re all at difference places. We all want to know where we stand, know where we fit in, but the fact of the matter is that even if you had a definite answer, you wouldn’t be happy with it any way. So it best to break the habit and stop comparing yourself to others. Every time you think someone else is skinnier, fitter, getting better grades than you, making more money than you, being promoted faster than you,…
