“Be Humble. Be Hungry. And always be the hardest worker in the room.”
When’s the last time you thought about all those goals and resolutions you set at the beginning of January? Normally I would have forgotten about my goals already, but this year I’m committed. If you want to be committed too, head back to that list and think about how you can start accomplishing each item. You can check out the full explanation for each of my goals on this post, but for the purpose of revisiting them, I’m only going to share the topic of each goal below and an update.
Live a little. I swear I’m trying to. I was actually supposed to go to West Palm Beach with one of my friends this weekend, but our plans fell through. An affordable winter vacation is still on my to-do list, I haven’t given up yet! I’m also going to be on a panel with the Journal News!
What: Journal News Panel: Digital Influencers and Brand Partnerships
When: Thursday, March 8th 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Where: The Journal News, White Plains 1133 Westchester Ave White Plains NY 10604
Throw sh*t away. I haven’t done much on this front. New goal: Spring clean through my room before the end of March. Will check back with you on this one!
Buy a home with my boyfriend. Working on it! We found a realtor, have seen a few homes and are now in the process of getting a pre-approval for a mortgage (which is a pain in the a*s). Go, team!
Big trip! Nothing planned yet, but I would go in the Summer so I’m not too worried about this one.
Grow Simply by Simone into a functioning business. New Goal: Take the steps to start the creation of my LLC this week.
Pay off my student loans. Still SO close to being done. I’ve increased a payment on one of them by $100! I also bought and returned a Canada goose jacket. As much as I wanted one, $950 when you have big goals of a new home, a big vacation and to pay off my student loans was just too much this year.
Workout consistently. I started off SO strong, so I’m really disappointed in myself here. After fashion week I was just so exhausted, I kind of gave up on working out. But I’m ready to get back on this horse! I ordered some gel that makes you sweat and a stomach wrap to use while working out to get me excited about it again!
“Be stubborn about your goals and flexible about your methods.”
Honestly, I’m way better off than I thought I was with my goals! Ha! It’s also amazing to see everything recapped and to see what I’ve done and what I need to do better. I challenge you to take a look at your goals and write down what you’ve done so far to try and accomplish them, and what you can do better!
“Have goals so big you feel uncomfortable telling small minded people.”
Now for some fashion talk! You know I love a good edgy look! I’m wearing these H&M pants in a size 4, they’re super comfortable, but next time I’m thinking I could have used a 6. They’re a bit tight in my legs. They are also on sale right now for $15, so if you’ve been looking for a pair of faux leather leggings you just can’t beat these! Mango also made a very similar pair.
I’ve been living in this faux shearling biker coat all winter long. Mine is by Aqua but I found another very similar one for you to shop by BB Dakota. I’m convinced this jacket style will be here to stay next Fall, so get your hands on one now! Also, sock booties, you either love em’ or hate em’ and I’m loving these two-tone ones from Zara. I try to limit my Zara intake because, in the fashion blogger realm, everyone wears so much Zara. So I’m constantly trying to find you different items to shop. But I just couldn’t pass up on these booties (I ordered them over six months ago so they are out of stock, sorry)! I also just ordered these polka dot pants. So now, I’m not due for another Zara order for at least three-six months.
If you haven’t jumped on the beret trend, you definitely should. It’s such an easy and inexpensive way to instantly make any outfit on trend. Grab a camel or red beret and pair it with an all-black look for the ultimate Parisian vibes!
