July Skincare And Beauty Favorites You Have To Try! + GIVEAWAY!

July Skincare And Beauty Favorites You Have To Try! + GIVEAWAY!

Last month I covered mostly makeup products, so this month I wanted to make sure I added a larger variation! So, this month I have a lot of amazing haircare and beauty favorites to share with you. All these items were gifts for me to try, so I’m dishing my honest opinion below!

My skin has been a bit difficult lately. Recently I’ve been getting these annoying hives around my eyes. It’s definitely from a product I was using, and I think I’ve just about narrowed it down to which one. My point, if you have sensitive skin, none of these products have been irritating my face. Also if you’re looking for new items, or have been on the fence about trying any of the below keep reading!

Finally, as always, if there’s anything you want to try or are unsure about and I haven’t already covered it, leave a comment and I’ll do my best to find the item and review it!

July Skincare And Beauty Favorites You Have To Try

1. Burt’s Bee’s Micellar Cleansing Towelettes

July Skincare And Beauty Favorites You Have To Try-Micellar Cleansing Towelettes-Blogger-Beauty-Review

Takeaways:

  • Most importantly, they help my makeup come off easily.
  • They don’t irritate my skin and they have a very light smell.
  • I usually use these Neutrogena naturals makeup remover wipes, so if you like those, you’ll definitely like Burt’s Bees!
  • I’ve also used these to clean my hands in the car on my way home from the North Fork on the weekend. We always stop for cookies and the chocolate gets all over my hands. #guiltyascharged

2. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask-Beauty-Skincare-Lip Mask-Review-Blogger

Takeaways:

  • I wear lipstick almost every day, so I’ve been looking for a lip mask that can really hydrate my lips. This does the trick!
  • It’s meant to be worn overnight, so put it on right before bed. Sometimes it’s hard to remember, so I do a quick 10-15min mask in the morning when I wake up. This helps, but when I use the mask overnight it’s amazing! Especially if your lips are chapped.
  • It’s a little thick and feels creamy at first, and can be a bit weird, but I got over that quickly.

3. Novex Mystic Black Hair Mask

Novex Mystic Black Deep Hair Mask-Blogger-Beauty-Haircare-Review

Takeaways:

  • This makes your hair SUPER soft. No exaggeration. So for me, it took away a bit of my natural volume the first time I used it. So the second time I made sure to blow-dry my hair upside down.
  • My hair is noticeably shinier.
  • It’s free of parabens, silicones, and sulfates, which are things I personally try to stay away from.

4. Novex Coconut Oil Shampoo & Conditioner

You know I like to keep it real with you and I’m a Nexxus girl. But I do like to change it up, and my hair personally responds better to my favorite Nexxus products when I use other products from time to time.

Takeaways:

  • Smells amazing and cleans my hair well.
  • Perfect for after a long day at the beach when my hair is extra dry.

I actually just used the shampoo and condition before these photos, ha! Now that’s real life for you!

5. Marc Anthony Coconut & Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner (with biotin!!!)

Marc Anthony Coconut & Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner-Review-Blogger-Hair Care

Collagen and biotin are basically my two favorite things since I have shitty hair. My entire life my hair always breaks off in the most random places and is so delicate. I did cheerleading for a large part of my life and all the hairspray, gel and curlers did nothing good for my hair. Hence, my love for products like this!

Takeaways:

  • I love using this on dirtier hair days where I know I’ll be wearing my hair up in a bun or back in a pony.
  • It smells DIVINE.

I’ve been using all four (Novex + Marc Anthony products) of these hair care products for about three weeks and my hair overall looks healthier and shinier. I also think it’s finally starting to grow again a bit. In addition, I take 10,000mcgs of biotin almost every day and also use Vital proteins collage peptides and collagen vitamins to add more collagen to my diet. It takes a village just so I can have this basic hair LOL.

6. Nars Velvet Lip Glide & Powematte Lip Pigment

Velvelt Lip Glide-Roseland-Powermatte Lip Pigment-You're no Good-Nars-Narssist-Review-Lipstick-Lipgloss-Beauty-Blogger

Velvet Lip Glide in color Roseland and Powermatte Lip Pigment in color You’re no Good.

Takeaways:

  • Both give your lips amazing color.
  • The velvet lip glide is more like a lipgloss, but not sticky like one.
  • Powermatte lip pigment is thick but can be worn all day. Is similar to a liquid lipstick. If you touch your face a lot like me, you may smudge it, but it doesn’t bleed off your lips.

7. Mally Mattes Eyeshadow Palette

Sorry for the crusty photo, but I have been using all the products I’ve been covering today, so more life. I tried to make them look as neat as possible, but they’re used and loved, so hopefully, this makes you trust me more!

  • I love the names. This may sound funny, but it’s really nice to put eyeshadows with empowering names. I love looking at the names in the morning and thinking “I’ll put on some bold, and a little classy today”. Haha! Just me? Am I a weirdo?
  • Nice amount of pigment. I’d say these are about in the middle between sheer and super pigmented.
  • Confidentis one of my favorite shades and I pair it with the next product!

8. Bare Minerals Gen Nude Eyeshadow + Primer

Bare Minerals Gen Nude Eyeshadow + Primer-Beauty-Makeup-Review-Blogger

Takeaways:

  • Like I said, I love putting this Bare Minerals primer on first and then I add some ‘confident’ from my Mally mattes palette in the crease and outside corner.
  • I get so many compliments even when I only wear this on my lids, the color is rich yet natural.
  • Doesn’t get that creased or dried out look, even after all day wear.
  • I wish this came in more colors!!! The other neutrals are a great base and offer good coverage, but don’t offer much pigment.

9. Eylure Vegas Nay Brow & Shadow Pro Palette

Eylure Vegas Nay Brow & Shadow Pro Palette-Blogger-Review-Eyeshadow-Eyebrows-MakeupTakeaways:

  • Very matte, so matte that colors blend together a little too well.
  • All the shades are very pigmented and on the dark side. Even English Clay and Gold Coast.
  • Red Velvet looks amazing as under eyeliner! Such a rich beautiful color.
  • I like cappuccino and warm truffle for my brows.

10. Nars Brow Perfector

Nars Brow Perfector-Lava Dark Bown Warm-Narssist-Nars-Makeup-Beauty-Blogger-Review

I use Lava Dark Bown Warm.

Sorry, this one is a bit of a tease because it’s part of NARS fall 2018 line! Trust me it will be worth the wait!

Takeaways:

  • I love that it has the eyebrow brush attached.
  • Easy to use and even if you mess up it comes off the skin easily.
  • Normally I fill in my brows with eyeshadow, but using the pencil is actually much easier and more exact. I still like to use a little power on top, but the pencil is such a game-changer!!
