Returning friends, hello to you too!
Back in October, Jackie and I collaborated with Bedford Village Flower Shop to support them on Petal it Forward day. A national initiative of the Society of American Florists, on Petal it Forward day florists give out flowers to the community. Two bouquets per person to be exact, one for that person, one for that person to pass on. This is done in an effort to spread kindness and Pay It Forward. Get it?!
I posted a photo on Instagram asking my community what they preferred. Giving or receiving flowers. I got so many sweet responses, and some even shared other ways to pay it forward. Today, I’m going to share 10 easy inexpensive ways to pay it forward, you’ll find five here on my site and another five on Jackie’s site here!
10 Easy Inexpensive Ways To Pay It Forward
- Send a friend a venmo for a few dollars to buy themselves coffee or tea. Or honestly anything they may like! It’s a nice way to remind your friends that you’re thinking of them.
- The first thing you do when you wake up, make it something that benefits or helps someone else. Make your significant other a pot of coffee before work, send an email that could help sometimes else, shoot your mom a nice text. It will start your day off on the right foot!
- Compliment a stranger. When I show up to events solo my ice breaker is always finding someone I can give an honest authentic compliment to. We do not give out enough compliments! And they’re totally free!
- Offer your time. Volunteer to babysit for a friend or sibling, host your own charity event or run to the store for someone else so they don’t have too.
- Write a nice review of a place you love. Like a yelp review for your favorite restaurant! Small businesses are easy to love, they’re the ones that have a face to the name. Give your favorite lunch spot a shoutout on Instagram or a nice review online. They will appreciate it!
The holidays are coming so I mean, Santa, I’ve been nice this year if you’re reading this! And if you want to get some Santa kudos (like I do) do something nice! There can never be enough niceness and kindness so I challenge you to do one of these things today! Comment below and share what you do!
