After NYFW I’m feeling energized and inspired. Between the shows and the street style there is no lack of outfit inspiration. So with all this new found style knowledge I’ve gained over the past few weeks, I wanted to share it with you! And not that I need an excuse to go shopping, but shopping for Fall items is my favorite part of living in New York. As much as I dislike the cold February to April stretch, I love the seasonal transitions. Between the seasons and trends the overload of new merchandise out there can seem a bit overwhelming. To make it easy, I’ve broken it down into the top 5 fall trends and picked out my favorites that you can easily shop by clicking on the images below. Happy shopping!
Metallic
Grab yourself a Studio 54 worthy metallic item. What I love about metallics, specifically gold and silver is that they are so neutral. Wear all black with some gold booties to add a pop!
Velvet
No trend has been this comfortable since the sneaker trend began. Rock some velvet and keep the world on its toes. Are you going out for drinks or taking a chic nap? You decide. And if you opt for booties, well those add some great texture to any look.
Pop of Red
Or all red everything. It’s all about making a statement and getting noticed while wearing red. It’s a powerful color that symbolizes energy, strength and power.
Fun Faux Fur
Now say that three times fast! Faux fur has officially taken over. Cure your winter blues by adding a bright faux fur coat to your wardrobe. You all know I’m one for neutrals, but I nabbed the blue coat below. It will remind me of the blue Caribbean water when I have those winter blues…
Baker Boy Caps
These hats INSTANTLY make any outfit cool. They are this season’s wool wide brimmed fedora.
Bonus Must Have: Plaid Blazer
While plaid blazer’s are very popular right now, I don’t find them to be overly trendy. If you want to look in the know, but would never try any of the above trends, the plaid blazer is my safe item.
I love this season’s pop of red: it’s my favourite color! Plaid blazers, furs and velvet are very cool too!
