Motivation Monday!

So if you haven’t guessed or observed, I can be overly dramatic sometimes. Just last week I was ready to have a mental breakdown, while complaining to my mother via text, about working. I have a full time job, a part time job and my blog. And I quote myself “I would rather work six days a week because then I don’t get to remember what it’s like to be happy and enjoy myself.” Now I can say this to myself, shut the F up Simone, YOU’RE NUTS. I’m also laughing as I write this. Sometimes I just can’t even…

Motivation Monday!

I’m a firm believer that failing and messing something up is the BEST learning experience you can have. And it’s not limited to work and school, it could be not going to the gym for a while, to forgetting to do something for a good friend. Anytime you make a mistake you are empowered to store that experience in the back of your head and move forward and make better decisions. You can’t appreciate sunshine without (a bitterly disgusting New York cold winter that just doesn’t want to leave) rain. This week I challenge you to embrace your mistakes and…

Motivation Monday!

I am QUEEN of subconsciously comparing my chapter one to other’s chapter twenty. It’s absolutely insane, but sometimes I just can’t help it. I always feel like I should have the best of everything at every moment, and the truth is life just doesn’t work that way and my path is different from everyone else’s. In college I was always very hard on myself to do well and get only A’s, work 24/7 and maintain my relationships. Every couple of months I’d have a mental breakdown, so it’s hard to realize that you can’t do everything and you can’t be…

Motivation Monday!

It’s never easy to take a leap of faith. Sometimes you have no choice but to make a decision to leap into something new all together or to choose to stay right where you are. In many situations their is now grey area to hide in. For example do you: take a new job or stay where you currently are, go away to college or stay local, move out or stay home, stay or break up with a loved one, keep certain friends in your life or let them go. To grow, you have to take the leap. It’s not…

Motivation Monday!

This is one of my favorite quotes/mantras. It’s one of the ways that I always try to live my life. During any hardship in life, it’s your patience and how you deal with these difficulties that matters most. You should always strive to put out good energy even when nothing good is going on. On the opposite spectrum, your attitude when everything is going good means so much too. You should always be kind even when you don’t necessarily have to be. Constantly be thankful for the everything that you have. No one likes an asshole. People remember when you do something…

Motivation Monday!

I think everyone fights this fight at some point in their life. Do you take the leap and follow your dreams or do you keep doing what’s in your comfort zone? Although change is uncomfortable, I think the best way to initiate change is exactly as this quote states, “tip toe.” If you’re dyeing your hair, you don’t go from black to blonde in one appointment at the salon, you do it slowly over time. (Unless you live on the edge and have the balls to dye your hair all at once and have no worries of it all falling…
