Today I’ve teamed up with a Hudson Valley local vodka company, Peony Vodka. Let me tell you this stuff will get the party started! It has such a mild taste that I wanted to add more to the drink when I first tasted it. I’m so happy I didn’t because halfway through I was already feeling it. This stuff is potent! I also love working and using local companies because they are a great conversation starter and who else better to support than your neighbors!
Creating beautiful impressive cocktails is a skill I’ve always wanted to possess. Now more than ever I’ve been practicing because I’m working on becoming a homeowner this year. I want to be well prepared for when I can finally start hosting events. Plus, there’s nothing better than a fresh homemade cocktail, am I right?! You know the kind you can enjoy from the comfort of your own backyard.
Ingredients (per drink):
-1 oz. Peony Vodka (aka 1 shot or the small side of the jigger
-1/2 lemon, juiced, other half for garnish
-1 sprig rosemary, plus extra to garnish
-1/2 oz. honey
-seltzer
-ice
Instructions:
-Add ice, vodka, lemon juice, honey and rosemary to shaker.
-Shake it up and shake it well! You want the honey to dissolve.
-Add ice to your glasses, then seltzer.
-Strain drink from shaker while you pour it into your glass.
-Add rosemary and lemon to garnish.
Cheers!
**Thank you Peony Vodka for the gift and for making this drink possible!
