Decisions, decisions and how I hate making a decision. I’m a true Libra so I thrive on balance. Decision making is always difficult for me because my choice must keep my life perfectly balanced. And I have to make decisions quickly because you know, I have no patience. Crazy, huh? So if there’s anyone who could give you some good advice on making decisions faster, it’s me. Today’s post is inspired by my new lightweight Love, Leeann sweater. “She who dares wins” is essentially my favorite way to make decisions.
I’ve always been someone who took the safe road. Now, the way I look at life is to always take the road less traveled, even if the unknown scares me. Why? Becuase overtime selecting the more daring situation has proven itself to be the more rewarding experience. Yes, choosing the same things to eat, wear and go are much easier than finding something new. But, it can also become very boring.
A Few Things I Ask Myself When Making A Decision:
- Will it help me grow as a person? More of the same will keep you in the safe zone. Select the choice that offers growth.
- Does it make me feel nervous or scared? Sorry, but the scary choice is king here. Hosting my first event was nerve-racking, but so rewarding! The same with showing up to my first event alone. If you even think you want to do something just a little, even if it scares you, do it!
- If one and two still don’t help ask for advice. Either ask someone you would trust with your life (hi Mom!) or a professional in the field of the decision. For example, thinking about traveling alone, ask someone who’s traveled alone a few times for pros and cons.
Moral of the story… if you have the courage to take the road less traveled, you will always win. Difficult situations make you learn and grow.

With courage, you will dare to take risks,
have the strength to be compassionate,
and the wisdom to be humble.
Courage is the foundation of integrity.
I may have read this at the perfect time. I’m trying to make a decision that may involve travelling alone, I think the experience will be worth it. Now if I just get the nerve to jump!
