How To Be An Outgoing Introvert And Maxi Dress Loving

I think as people, we can all be many things. Personally, I find myself to be an introvert, for work I’m outgoing or extroverted. So today I’m sharing how to be both, what I like to call the outgoing introvert! Plus all the deets regarding this maxi dress!

Most people would describe me as a quiet person. I’m almost never the most outspoken person in a group. I like listening to what people have to say before I state my opinion or views. So, most of the time when I find myself being what I like to call an outgoing introvert, it’s for my blog.

You can all be many things if you want to. Sometimes I can be shy and sometimes I can hop up on a stage and host an event with hundreds of people. Would I rather not be the center of attention, yea sure sometimes. But it’s interesting to do different things and push yourself outside of your comfort zone. It’s kind of similar to when I started eating spinach. I hated the taste but knew it was good for me so I ate it. Over time, I actually started to like it. Same goes for putting yourself in uncomfortable situations. You get used to it.

So you’re shy and reserved and you want to be more outgoing? Here are a few tips on how to transform yourself into the outgoing introvert:

  1. Be brave. The first step to becoming more outgoing is to step outside your comfort zone. It’s not easy, so start out small. You can go to lunch by yourself. Or simply do something you wouldn’t normally do alone, alone.
  2. It’s better to be goofy than nervous. I always remind myself that I’d rather have people laugh at me than be embarrassed for me. It’s the most painful thing to watch someone who is nervous in front of a crowd.
  3. Don’t lose sight of yourself. Remember, it’s ok if you have a shy personality. We’re all different, so if you try branching outside your comfort zone and it doesn’t go well, don’t be so hard on yourself. You’re not going to magically become more outgoing overnight, it takes time.

Just here for the fashion? Let’s talk about this maxi dress!

Maxi dresses are my favorite come the warmer months because they cover my legs but keep me cool. Once AC starts going on, there’s no hope for me. I’m always cold, so the maxi is my friend! What I love about this dress from Chic Wish is that it’s partially lined up until about the knee area. So it’s not see through at all. Size-wise, I got a size small. I’m normally a small, but I think I also would have been happy with the medium, as the dress was a little fitted near my ribcage.

What’s not to love about a straw bag? Well for one, if you get one like mine you can see right in. So, I used a canvass tote I received with a purchase from Sezane for some privacy. Otherwise, I’m so happy with this tote. I wanted to do something different than the round straw bag trend and I’m happy I did!

“I’m an absolute introvert. I do not like parties larger than eight close friends. I’m quite the loner. What I do publically is a performance. It’s part of my job and I’m good at it.” Tom Ford.
