Uniform Lately

I attended Catholic school for 10 years of my life where I despised having to wear a uniform. Day in and day out the same outfit, stifling my creativity. Dramatic, I know. Come high school, it turns out that I missed my uniform. It’s so easy to mindlessly throw on the same plaid skirt, yellow shirt and navy vest. Fast forward to today, I think I’ve found some balance. (I’m a Libra and theres nothing I love more than balance.. OK, well maybe Chanel, but still not the point). It makes life much easier when you have a few go-to looks when…

Having fun with Valentines Day

What a strange holiday Valentines Day is. Being in a healthy relationship, it actually never meant to much to me. In fact, this year I’ll be in Miami without my Valentine. Personally, I see it as, if someone treats you great always and you always make time for each other, than Valentines day is just another day. I’m also obsessed with food and nothing bothers me more than reservations at a packed restaurant with a pre-set menu. How am I supposed to know what type of food or where I want to eat two weeks in advance?????? Anyway, what I…

Winter Recovery

So after a not so horrendous snow storm (personally any snow for me is rather horrendous), what are you supposed to do? First thing you should do is go to the gym (I’m in a permanent in a carb coma right now), second is to grab your biggest comfiest sweater and dare I say leggings. Fine, I don’t really hate leggings, for goodness sake I’m from Westchester where 99% of the population enjoys leggings as pants. If you can’t beat them.. well you know, just wear the leggings. Anyway, I’ll shut up, lets take a look..  Sweater: ASOS | Scarf: ASOS |…

Braving the Blizzard like a True New Yorker

Hello, hello! This snow bunny is super happy that she got let out of her day job early, so happy that she decided to take some pictures in the snow! I have a love/hate relationship with the snow. A part of me loves that it’s a beautiful act of nature and makes the world look so clean, the other part wishes I was born in a country that boarders the equator so I would never have to ever know that snow even exists. But, as a native New Yorker (I live right outside of NYC in Westchester County), I drove home…

Fashion Friday Blues

Black and blue is a go to for me when I have no idea what to wear, but I have somewhere to go or would rather not look like a bum. A bright blue always pops against black, I love the contrast. Be carful to not wear black and navy blue, that may be black, or is it blue? Those are the worst days ever. OK, babble over, lets take a look at this Fashion Friday’s outfit.. Blazer: NY&Co, similar | Sweater: Forever 21, similar | Denim: Hudson | Shoes: Stuart Weitzman | Bag: Chanel  This is such a fun weekend outfit,…

Casual Wednesday: A Vintage Twist

When round sunglasses work with the shape of your face, you have to buy them. Having a long oval shaped face, not many sunglass styles look great on me. I love the vintage edge that round sunglasses can contribute to an overall look, so I was so happy when I found these black super round shades. Today’s outfit a casual look that you can wear anytime! Lets take a look.. Coat: Glamorous | Turtleneck: Gap | Denim: J Brand | Scarf: Asos | Shoes: Vince  This checked long coat paired with and oversized scarf is the perfect casual look. It’s such…
