Converse Casual

It’s always nice to give your feet a rest, and for this, I love Converse. It’s a pair of shoes that almost everyone owns, making this look easy to recreate on your own. I paired my Converse sneakers with a chunky feminine cardigan,  because per usual, I love mixing masculine and feminine and also sporty and dressy styles together. Lets take a look..   Cardigan: old, similar | Denim: Guess, similar | Shoes: Converse | Tank: Splendid  Adding classic feminine accessories to a sporty outfit is everything. I love this look so much because it incorporates both the timeless styles…

Fashion Friday: Rosie Cheeks & Shoes

This Friday I based my outfit’s color scheme off one of my favorite burberry scarves. Shades of wine are a go to in the Fall/Winter, but this scarf happens to have wines, pinks, mauves and purples commingled in the timeless burberry plaid. I picked out a few pieces that were similar in color and added in black as my base (had to, maybe it’s a Westchester thing but black is my life). Anywho, let us take a look.. PHOTOGRAPHY BY AMANDA ELLE Coat: Victoria’s Secret, similar | Sweater: H&M, similar | Denim: J Brand | Shoes: Gucci | Scarf: Burberry, similar …

Casual Wednesday: Mustard Yellow

Wine shades of the world, beware. Mustard yellow is quickly becoming a fall staple that’s here to stay. As much as I love deep red tones in the Fall/Winter, I still find myself searching for other season appropriate colors. I love wearing this muddied yellow color as it’s bright and alive but clearly not something you pulled out of your Summer wardrobe. Let’s take a look.. Cardigan: Aqua, similar | Blouse: Loft | Denim: JBRAND | Booties: Steve Madden | Bag: Chloe, similar I wore this to my cousin’s 6th birthday party last weekend. As I’ve said before with these booties,…

Thanksgiving with your Crazy Extended Family, Style: The Survivor

So I know for a lot of you, Thanksgiving is a long stressful day. You have family you haven’t seen in quite some time telling you how good (or bad) you look, and asking all sorts of questions. You get to see the woman who’s become know as “Crazy Aunt so-and-so” and you also get to meet your “amazing” second cousin once removed’s new multi-millionaire doctor husband. I mean could your Thanksgiving be ANY MORE FUN? Hashtag sarcastic.   Dress: Theory | Shoes: Christian Dior For this look, the survivor, I went with all black. I love this Theory dress, it really…

Fashion Friday: Leather Skirts

I’ve been looking for a nice leather skirt for the longest time. Fortunately for my bank account and PETA, I haven’t found a perfect one just yet, but I have found a perfect FAUX leather skirt. This week, I paired it with a oversized blouse, trench coat and suede booties. It’s the perfect casual meets dressy look. Blouse: Romeo and Juliet | Skirt: Tinsel | Shoes: Steve Madden | Coat: Guess I love wearing an oversized shirt or sweater with a skirt. It’s so much more comfortable than wearing a tight shirt tucked in. Pairing a flowy feminine blouse with…

Casual Wednesday: Coping with the Weather

The not so fun part about Fall, is always the weather. Is it going to be hot, bitterly cold, raining or snowing? The answer: Who knows?! Certainly, sometimes I don’t think Mother Nature even knows what it’s doing. Today, I’ve dedicated this post’s style to rain boots! Let’s take a look.. Top: Splendid | Vest: Athleta, similar | Denim: Seven for all Mankind, similar | Rain Boots: Stuart Weitzman | Hat: Burberry  I’m so happy that in recent years, rain boots have become a lot more fashionable, with designers adding new prints and styles by just getting inventive with rubber/plastic.…
