Quilted jackets are timeless and one of the best grab-and-go items in your closet. They’re like a warm hug on a cool spring day. Or a pleasant layer in the late fall when the temperature starts to drop. If you want to be a master of transitional dressing a quilted jacket is exactly what your wardrobe needs. If you’re doing the online hunt on your own, quilted jackets have a few different names. Known as liners or shells, they may also be referred to as coats. I’ve also seen padded parkas, car coats even insulation jackets. What they all have…

It always seems like I can never have enough coats, especially when it’s so cold out. Fast forward to this past week, I consigned (I used Second Edition!) around fifteen coats, jackets, and/or blazers that needed new homes. My coat closet is still so excessive but it felt good to get some space back. Fingers crossed it will inspire me to get rid of more.…
When it comes to eveningwear the keywords I look for are mesh, embellished, metallic, and sheer. In simplifying my closet I’ve honed in on versatility. So when it comes to holiday wear, it has to be something I’d grab on NYE and for a night out. While sourcing these pieces I always ask myself, could I wear this with jeans or flats? While the answer will not always be yes, for a majority of the items it should be. Am I always going to grab a crystal embellished headband to wear with jeans and a tee? No, but I do…
