Thinking of making some Valentine’s Day Treats for your friends, family or significant other? Well, you’ve come to the right place. Today I’m sharing what Valentine’s Day treat you should make based on your personality! I’ve enlisted some of my friends on the internet to bring you the best treats for three out of the four categories.

I’ve followed Maryanne from The Little Epicurean for around two years now. She makes the most amazing ice pops in the Summer that I personally love to copy! Since I’ve made some of her recipes before I can honestly tell you they’re easy to follow and make.

This sweet treat is perfect for the health conscious! If you’re ditching the chocolate this Valentine’s Day and still want to show your loved ones some love, this is perfect!

Pro tip: Start your Valentine’s Day by serving this sweet treat at breakfast!

Helen is one of my internet blogger friends turned in real life friend! So when I saw her post about By The Way Bakery in Greenwich Connecticut I knew I had to share. Although this isn’t technically a treat to make, you can make this treat happen! I trust Helen’s opinion on sweets because naturally the last time I saw her we were both scarfing down desserts! Ha!

Since becoming a business owner (Simply by Simone is now an LLC!) supporting small businesses has become even more important to me. This Valentine’s Day, ditch the big name brand chocolates and opt for a local treat.

By The Way also has a location in Westchester County in Hastings-On-Hudson. If you’re not from the area, hit up Instagram or Google for local spots near you. And if you’re last-minute shopper popping into your local bakery will be sure to blow your loved ones away with that homemade taste!

St. Germaine Elderflower is my favorite liquor (after Aperol that is) so while scoring Pinterest (do you follow me?) I came across Ashley’s aesthetically pleasing post.

Make your galentines or Valentine this cocktail and have a little fun! Who doesn’t love a good celebration or an excuse to celebrate? Even if you’re not a huge Valentine’s Day groupie, any holiday that calls for a cocktail is a friend of mine. Celebrate with your significant other or your Galentine’s with this drink.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries by me!

Chocolate covered strawberries have been a favorite of mine for ages. Tom always gets me a dozen for Valentine’s day every year.

This year I decided it would be fun to make my own! I got white melting chocolate and a dozen strawberries from my local grocery store. You’ll also need some red food coloring, small plastic snack baggies that zip close, wax paper and sprinkles if you’d like.

How To Make Them:

Step 1: First, wash and dry your strawberries well and set aside. Next, line a baking tray with wax paper. Then, melt a large handful of your chocolate (you want to be able to dunk your strawberries). I melted mine in the microwave, stopping every 60 seconds to stir. Once melted, start off with only two drops of food coloring and mix it in the chocolate.

Step 2: Once you have a nice light pink, dip your first strawberry. I kind of rolled them in the chocolate and used a spoon to help me place them on the tray.

Step 3: Since I knew I had 12 strawberries when I dipped 4 in the light pink I set that chocolate advised and melted more. This time I put in 5-6 drops of food coloring so I got a darker pink. Repete for an even darker pink.

Step 4: Once all your strawberries are covered and on the wax paper put each color of remaining chocolate in separate small zip lock bags.

Step 5: Close the baggie and cut a small piece the corner off. Now you can use this to pipe on designs to your strawberries! Mine became solid within 10 minutes and they were sitting out. You may want to refrigerate them for a few before you make your designs if they’re still wet. Finally, refrigerate when done and enjoy! That’s it!

Typing all that out seems like a lot of steps but I swear it’s so easy. You can also make it easier by only doing one color dip and one color for your designs. Want more Valentine’s Day inspiration? Check on my post on love that includes some amazing quotes!
