As much as I dislike the cold (it’s definitely one of my favorite topics to cover on Simply by Simone) I’m so thankful I live in a place where the seasons change. As I admit that today, that wasn’t always the case, which I know is strange because more seasons means more clothing, duh. I think the most important thing you can do living in New York, or anywhere where the weather changes four times a year, is to have to right transitional clothing. This will make your opinion on the cold weather all the less complain-y. It’s so annoying to be cold and the warm and then cold again all in a few hours – this can really make you bitter on the topic of seasons and no one likes a bitter betch. SO, I bring to you my own personal solution, know how to dress.
This sweater is a perfect item that you can rock all year round. I love that it has quarter sleeves and isn’t an overly heavy knit, making it perfect for transitional weather. A pencil skirt will always be your best friend, but I especially love this DVF one (found HERE) because it’s a medium weight material and also has a lot of stretch. This skirt keeps your torso and thighs warm while allowing your calves to breath. All this along with booties to keep your feet warm!
PS. This post brought to you by my excuse to purchase this amazing ASOS sweater (found HERE). Ever since Kendall wore that $300 Aritzia sweater that sold out instantly, I’ve been dying for a horizontal ribbed sweater. So when I saw this one I had to have! LOL
