Westchester Living: Polpettina Restaurant in Eastchester New York

PHOTOGRAPHY BY AMANDA ELLE I’m absolutely a creature of habit when it comes to restaurants. I can be quite indecisive when I have to decide what and where to eat. But who isn’t?! As much as I love trying somewhere new, an old favorite is always an easy choice. On today’s edition of Westchester living, I’m sharing an old faithful, Polpettina restaurant in Eastchester New York. Self-described as a “place you want to be on your day off–your home away from home” and I couldn’t describe it any better myself. Polpettina offers casual Italian American food that tastes homemade. There’s a lot of…

Fall Statements: My Favorite Not So Average Sweaters

Every other season is the ugly step-sister of Fall. I’m sorry but it’s true. It’s the season closet to weather utopia and offers the cutest freshest new clothes. My two favorite fall statements come in the form of sweater and booties. Today I’m going to share my favorite not so average sweaters which make a great fall statement! I’ve been working with Chicwish for quite some time now and I’m always pleasantly surprised by their clothes. Their variety is always on point with a good mix of essentials and statement pieces. When I swear today’s sweater online I initially loved the floral contrast on…

Birthday Reflections: Advice I’d Give to my 20-Year-Old Self

If you’re thinking I would write a blog post on my birthday, I didn’t. Right now it’s four days before my birthday and I just don’t know how I let this post get away from me. I definitely don’t feel old, but it’s crazy to be turning twenty-eight. I can remember in elementary school thinking that I would never get to high school. Crazy the things we remember, huh?! On or right before my birthday, I like reflecting on what I’ve learned the past year. Since I’m t-minus two years away from my 30th birthday extravaganza, I thought it would be fun…

Fall Trends With Bloomingdale’s + a Recap of the Fashion Show!

This is a bit overdue, but the weather has barely changed over and it’s still technically Summer for two more days. So, I guess I’m not too far behind with this post! Anyway, I think it’s a fine time to talk about Fall and reminisce about fashion week, don’t you? New York City is filled with an energy that I love during fashion week. This year I wanted to bring this energy to Westchester by bringing fashion week to those of us in my home county! I teamed up with Bloomingdale’s White Plains and hosted their Fall runway show with a…

Bringing NYFW to Westchester County with Bloomingdale’s White Plains!

Since I’ve spent my whole waking life in Westchester County, it’s crazy I didn’t decide to do this sooner! This Saturday, September 8th, I’m hosting the Bloomingdale’s White Plains fashion show. Following the runway show, there will be a mix and mingle of local entrepreneurs, business owners and various professionals, influencers, and students! I’ve been so fortunate that I can attend events in New York City through my blog. I’ve met so many amazing people at these events, but the problem is they are so rarely, if ever, in Westchester. Through this event, I’m hoping to connect the influential community…

Westchester Magazine Food And Wine Festival: What To Try!

Recently I attended the Westchester Magazine Food & Wine Festival with the Journal News, @lohud. If you’ve been on the fence about going, it’s definitely worth it! I had so much fun. Today’s post is for my Westchester locals. I’m rounding up some new restaurants I’ll definitely be trying out and my favorite rosè’s and where to find them! Layout: The event takes place at Kensico Dam in Valhalla. There were two or three large tents set up and there were food and wine stations outlining the tents. You walk around and pick up food and wine at each station.…
