Contagious Feeling

There’s something I love about warm colors paired with edgier items. It’s like nude pumps with studs – the feeling is contagious, the item itself tells more of a story. Personally, I love when an outfit inflicts an emotion, and for me this look does it. Let’s take a look… Fringe Tank: Zara | Denim: AG (old), similar | Booties: Dolce Vita | Bag: Marc Jacobs I love that this look is warm and neutral, and that the fringe tank is bright, fun and lively. You can make a subtle statement when you pair opposite trends. Here I’m showing something…

Channel Your Inner Jackie O

Subconsciously I often channel Jackie O. An obvious style Icon, Jackie Kennedy Onassis always looked effortlessly put together. I personally love how she could always look sexy while showing minimal skin. When I wear pearls and round sunglasses, I always find myself thinking of her classic style. This week, without directly working from her inspiration, I found myself in a look that reminded me of her. Lets take a look.. Trench Vest: H&M | Blouse: DVF | Skirt: Alythea c/o Bloomingdales | Shoes: Vince Camuto | Bag: Clare V  Wear this to brunch, lunch, dinner a roof top bar – you’ll be…

Rocksbox + Rockstud

Great shoes and great accessories will take you a long way. I swear by the fact that you can get away with wearing inexpensive clothing (ie. Forever 21, Miss Guided, Sheinside ect.) with high end accessories and look like a million dollars. This week I chose to spice up a seemingly casual look by adding bold accessories. Let’s take a look.. Cardigan: H&M | Top: H&M | Denim: Guess | Shoes: Valentino | Bag: Clare V, similar | Necklace: Slate c/o Rocksbox I swear if I was wearing flats with this outfit I would look like a bag lady/hot mess.…

Love YOself

You either learn to love your (once athletic now slightly mushy) thighs or you let them kill you. I decided to do a few squats/exercises in the morning and to learn to love them. Ladies, you always have to work with what you got! So in the theme of embracing yourself, I give you this romper.. Romper: Olivaceous | Bag: Ferragamo | Shoes: Valentino | Bracelets: Hermes & David Yurman In the spirit of loving myself (ie. “yo-self” as in today’s title), here’s another fun fact: I grew up LOVING rap music (yes in my suburban, middle-class homeland, we LOVED Biggie, Juelz,…

Vibrant Vibes

Sometimes, not often, but sometimes I wear vibrant colors. Well, really I should say a vibrant color to make that grammatically correct, because I don’t think I’ve ever worn two bright colors together. Actually maybe in my blonde/over tanned days I may have. I digress. Presently, I still own a few super pigmented over-the-top items that I love (you may not see them often but I can still love them, right?). This week I’m showcasing one of these items, lets take a look..  Skirt: H&M, similar | Top: Express | Shoes: Vince Camuto | Bag: Chanel | Hamsa Necklace: Alef Bet For whatever…

Wonder Woman

Today I’m showing you a modern twist one of my favorite super hero’s, wonder woman. I love strong powerful styles, that you can be comfortable in but still show a little skin. Being that red, blue and gold (in that combination) are not my colors of choice, I went for a monotone look that any woman can wear out! Lets take a look..  Vest: Sheinside, similar | Crop Top: Nordstrom | Denim: AG | Shoes: Vince Camuto | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Sunglasses: Kate Spade The shield belt is really why this outfit reminds me of wonder woman. I swear this…
