I was so excited to partner again this season with Bloomingdales, White Plains to celebrate NYFW in Westchester County. We’ve been teaming up since fall 2018 to share NYFW with the local community and the event has grown so much since then.
NYFW in Westchester County at Bloomingdales White Plains Season 3
What we did differently this season:
- I had a co-host, Tina of @wardrobe_envy! Something I mentioned in my post about my Club Sweat, Greenwich event was that events are easier to manage with a co-host! Tina was so supportive and helpful along the way and she took a chunk of the work off of me (as does Becky Gins always! Hi Becky!).
- The seating chart was a total game-changer in my opinion. Well, it wasn’t a chart exactly. I wrote out notecards the morning of for the gift bags and used the bags as place holders for the Westchester Blogger babes!
- We curated an in-store shop. The shop held our runway looks and additional favorites. Tina and I both selected five looks for the show and while I got the seating done, Tina got the shop ready. We both chose items we felt were great price points to make it a comfortable place for everyone to pull from and shop! It also included some of the best trend accessories!
How we made it feel like fashion week
I love the energy that surrounds New York Fashion Week in New York City. The street style is next level and you rush around from show to show – it’s exhilarating for the most part, then it’s exhausting LOL. Obviously in the best way possible. Luckily if you’ve read my NYFW recap, you know many designers are now showing their current season. Which for us was great because we were able to show items that just hit the floor for our runway show.
There were also goodie bags. Which are now traditionally just a thing of NYFW’s past, but I wanted this to feel both familiar to NYFW and as special as possible. Luckily I was able to get a few brands to make all the local influencers and media feel like this was the real deal (as it was!) as if they were in NYC.
We also chose to do the event at night so more people could make it. Over the past year, I’ve learned not everyone wants to give up the middle of their day on a weekend so a night out with your girls for a New York Fashion Week Runway Show Party sounded like so much fun.
My favorite fall trend
My favorite trend of the season? Animal prints. While trends come and go, I find fashion, in general, is always very inspired by nature and what’s around us. So, while leopard jeans may not be the “it-item” in three years, you can bet they’ll come back in six!
Want to know more about my favorite Fall trends? I’m partnering with Prune Magazine and my girl @thedylanjader to share a Fall fashion recap. Stay tuned!
What you can expect in the future
More is more honey! Bigger better and even more curated events that celebrate community!
Community
I have to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who made this event possible. From Bloomingdale’s White Plains to the Bedford Village Flower Shop, it was such a team effort to make this event feel so special.

Don’t miss an event!
If you’re in the proximity of Westchester or Fairfield Counties, sign up for my emails here. You don’t have to be a blogger or influencer to attend most of the events I host and this is an easy way to make sure no one gets left out! I’ve been wanting to create a space where everyone feels welcome (not just bloggers) so WELCOME! I hope you can join the next event!
If you missed NYFW in Westchester County at Bloomingdales White Plains this year, don’t worry! We’ve already come up with some great ideas for February! Comments on how you think we can make it better, leave them below or shoot me an email! I love hearing everyone’s opinion and view on these posts!
