As many of you know, I update all my capsule wardrobe posts each season. Last year, I told myself I would not add any new capsule wardrobe posts to my site, but I couldn’t skip this. After perusing Everlane’s new Spring drop, and realizing I didn’t have an Everlane Spring Capsule Wardrobe Guide to update, I knew it had to be added.
A capsule wardrobe is a curated collection of timeless clothing. In this climate of ever-changing trends and overconsumption, picking out those essential items can feel difficult. Capsule wardrobes can save you money, time getting ready, and space in your home and closet.
Over the past year, I’ve decluttered, resold, and donated many items. I can’t recommend this enough if you are shifting to a capsule wardrobe. Less is more. During this transition, adding versatile, high-quality pieces that fit your lifestyle is important.
For each capsule wardrobe, I select anywhere from ten to twelve items. You may find you have some of these pieces in your closet already. And if you need more ideas, you can check out additional Spring Capsule Wardrobe Guides for Sezane and you can also check out the best transitional items for Spring.
Now, let’s get you the Everlane Spring Capsule wardrobe of your dreams.
Everlane Spring Capsule Wardrobe
1. Relaxed Oxford Shirt
A button-down is a staple in my closet. I love purchasing them one size bigger for a more casual relaxed fit with jeans or leggings. It’s also one of those items I wear to death so it’s always good to check in and see if you’re whites still look fresh for the season.
2. Cotton Honeycomb Square Crew
This is a piece that can take you through all the seasons. Made of 100$ organic cotton it’s perfect for chillier Spring days. It would also drape this over my shoulders!
3. Supima Micro-Rib Racerback Tank
The high neck on this makes it a perfect layering piece. Wear under a blazer or cardigan when the weather calls for it. I love this shade, but it comes in seven additional colors!
4. Cotton Honeycomb Cardigan
I always keep an eye out for the details that matter and the thick rib-stitched hem makes this cardigan look polished. The contrast buttons make it great to pair with black, I would also enjoy this with a tonal look.
5. Organic Cotton Relaxed Cardigan
Green, I know. Doesn’t exactly seem like a capsule wardrobe staple, but it can be! If you’ve been refining your wardrobe for some time adding color is a great way to explore your style. And with an abundance of neutrals in your closet, a little color is easy to mix in!
6. TENCEL Oversized Blazer
A blazer is a staple in any capsule wardrobe. Can always make a look more elevated or can be paired with jeans for a more casual look. Either way, it’s a versatile item and great to have on hand for cooler Spring evenings.
7. Way-High Curve Jeans
The MVP of a Spring Capsule Wardrobe is loose-fitting ecru jeans. Not quite a stark white, but bright in preparation for the warmer months ahead.
8. Super Baggy Jean
There is a trend here, and I love a comfortable pair of jeans. These would look great cuffed at the bottom and worn with almost anything.
9. Utility Barrel Pant
A barrel leg gives a nice amount of room from the mid-thigh to the mid-calf (both my personal problem areas). But are more fitted at the top and the ankles for a bit of shape.
10. Day Mary Jane
I featured these in black in my Winter Capsule Wardrobe, so it’s no surprise I have them on this list in canvas. While these may be on the rise in popularity now, mary jane’s are classic shoes that have been around for decades.
11. City Crossover Sandal
A brown, nude, or natural-colored sandal will always elongate your leg. Making these perfect to pair with anything, especially on warmer days!
12. Studio Bag
Now this is a structured carry-all bag. The light taupe color makes this a Spring capsule staple perfect for any look.
