Creating a community…
When Andrew Mercado (@ugbyagame on Instagram) of Underground by A-Game invited me and a few of the @westchesterbloggerbabes to his home for an #ugbyagame brunch I was thrilled. My favorite part of my blog is the community. Supporting fellow entrepreneurs in different fields is probably one of the most rewarding pieces of this business. Today I will be sharing 4 things I learned at the Underground by A-Game blogger babes brunch.
The importance of community and your tribe is something I learned a long time ago, but it’s always good to see the power of it from time-to-time. We are stronger together!
With Chef Andrew Mercado
What is Underground by A-Game ?
Underground by A-Game is a pop-up restaurant. To add to the fun, you don’t know who you’ll be eating with or seated next to until you arrive. And about arriving, you don’t know exactly where (of course there is a general location) you’ll be until five days prior! Spontaneity I can appreciate.
Andrew can change the mood of any area – over brunch we chatted about one of his first dinners at a marble warehouse. Caitlin attended and agreed the decor made it such that you wouldn’t even have known where exactly you were! UG can literally host your event anywhere – no kitchen needed. And Andrew is also open for hire – he brings you beats and eats (as he refers to it) that your whole family, girl gang or even book club will love!

4 Things I Learned At The Underground by A-Game Blogger Babes Brunch
1. You have to download the One-second Everyday app. Caitlin aka @westchestercarbdashian + @thefrizzyfibro put us all onto this great app where you record one second of your life every day! It was so cool to see some of our blogger brunches on Cate’s monthly videos! What a great way to log and remember all your most special moments.
2. Those perfect Euporean vibes you’ve been searching for everywhere for your next tablescape – Enter Polish Pottery. Andrew and his girlfriend Katie have a beautiful collection of Polish Pottery and the tablescape took me to a whole other world!
3. What’s a Ramp anyway? Andrew used ramps in our frittata and our salmon dishes. And let me tell you they are delicious! A ramp is a wild onion that tastes like a mixture of garlic and onion. YUM! Who knew?! They are in season right now, for a short time, so get them while they’re here!
4. Jenna’s Blog (@jennaanedwick) Launch Party is Saturday, June 15th at Bloomingdale’s White Plains! Okay so I’ve known about it for a while (and totally messed up my calendar so I can’t even go) but as Caitlyn says: women are amazing, we don’t deserve women. So in the spirit of supporting my favorite babe I had to plug her event in this post!! Sign up for our newsletter so you don’t miss the invite!
For the love of good food
From the caesar salad to the frittata to the eggs in purgatory, I was blown away. Andrew even made a salmon dish (I normally don’t like or eat salmon) that was delicious.
When everyone arrived we were greeted with croissants, cheese boards, and donuts. Not to forget the mimosas and Vita Coco coconut water, for those babes on le cleanse (or just trying to live cleaner, like me!).
The music was great too, Andrew created a blogger babes playlist that was on point. The best throwbacks to our current faves, he couldn’t have hit it on the head better! From start to finish, the entire event was seamless.
