This is probably a funny/weird story, but I’m sure many of you can relate or just understand my psycho at this point. It had to be about three years ago when I first came across Monika Chiang’s metal, wrapped in leather, lace up sandals. I HAD to have them. But at the time, I was working two jobs, going to college/dealing with all those fun college related expenses (still am VOM) and I just didn’t have $500 or $600 dollars to lay out (I forget the exact price). I swear I looked at them like, every day (is that normal?). Finally eventually, I couldn’t find them for sale anymore, cue panic. They were no longer available.
I don’t think I ever let anything go, so per usual, every-so-often I searched for them. Recently, having a steady income from my three jobs (is this real life? LOL), like any normal person, I stalked Monika on Instagram. She’s a style queen btw. At which point I also came to realize she was relaunching her shoe collection (THANK THE SHOPPING GODS), and now I’m here, styling my FAB new Imena II sandals. Check them out ladies!
Dress: Milly | Jacket: All Saints | Shoes: Monika Chiang | Bag: Celine
So this post isn’t solely about my personality quirks (i.e. shoe stalking/obsessing), I’ll talk a little about how I went about styling this look. Because it’s getting increasingly colder as the season progresses, I knew I wanted to show these with a dress. To compliment the shoes natural edge, I knew I had to pair them with an all leather look. The biker jacket and the leather panel dress gave all the right fall vibes. I love that you can make these shoes super girly or edgy!
Tell me about an item you stalked that you were finally able to purchase!
