Wearing what is essentially all of one color, can easily become a totally boring outfit. So, how do you make a statement with a monochrome look? It’s actually pretty easy and you can apply these tips anytime your outfit is feeling a little lack-luster.

  • Texture: Different textures, like my faux sherpa jacket,
  • Jazz: Think metallics, studs and sequins. I always try to purchase these fun pieces in neutral colors. It’s not many times you get to wear a red sequin skirt, but black, again and again!
  • Depth: Layering creates interest and depth. Have you ever though… Is that a skirt or a cami midi dress or is it a long blouse?!

I like the style but I love colors… I think you could have stayed in the theme but with more variations on the pastels… it would give greater contrast!
