monochrome: a photograph or picture developed or executed in black and white or in varying tones of only one color. (defined via google)
Jacket: Urban Outfitters | Top: Aqua (on sale!!!) | Jeans: Loft (similar HERE and HERE) | Shoes: Valentino | Bag: Ferragamo
Wearing what is essentially all of one color, can easily become a totally boring outfit. So, how do you make a statement with a monochrome look? It’s actually pretty easy and you can apply these tips anytime your outfit is feeling a little lack-luster.
- Texture: Different textures, like my faux sherpa jacket,
- Jazz: Think metallics, studs and sequins. I always try to purchase these fun pieces in neutral colors. It’s not many times you get to wear a red sequin skirt, but black, again and again!
- Depth: Layering creates interest and depth. Have you ever though… Is that a skirt or a cami midi dress or is it a long blouse?!
I like the style but I love colors… I think you could have stayed in the theme but with more variations on the pastels… it would give greater contrast!
