You either learn to love your (once athletic now slightly mushy) thighs or you let them kill you. I decided to do a few squats/exercises in the morning and to learn to love them. Ladies, you always have to work with what you got! So in the theme of embracing yourself, I give you this romper..
Romper: Olivaceous | Bag: Ferragamo | Shoes: Valentino | Bracelets: Hermes & David Yurman
In the spirit of loving myself (ie. “yo-self” as in today’s title), here’s another fun fact: I grew up LOVING rap music (yes in my suburban, middle-class homeland, we LOVED Biggie, Juelz, Lloyd Banks, ect.) and presently I know all the words to most rap songs. It’s all good baby, baby.. LOL Ok, now that you’re done laughing at me, lets talk fashion..
Rompers are tricky, sometimes too long/short or containing prints and lines that don’t match up (pet peeve of mine), but when you find the right romper – it’s instantly EVERYTHING. I cannot stress enough that every time you’re shopping, try on a romper; it usually takes me a few trips (or lets be real, online purchases) to find something I love that also fits right. As I pray to every higher power for a heat wave it starts to get warmer, and hopefully hot, rompers will quickly become your best friend.
So, if you have thighs similar to mine, throw on some pointed toe pumps (I swear they elongate the leg) and a cute cross body bag and you’re ready to run out the door. I mean so long as the heels aren’t too high.

Me in a romper would probably look a lot like an ompalompa!
And my thighs would huuuuuuurt. I would have to wear hosiery or “bike shorts”.

I know this post was almost all about me drooling all over my new shoes!!! Hahaha I’m obsessed with them, totally worth it!
I swear I always try on a million toppers and maxi skirts that never work for me, it takes a lot of work to get one I like.
I wouldn’t know when to use them. And would be scared to use the due to the price.
I’m a short and curvy/chubby thing so a lot of things just don’t work for me, but I survive anyways. And I don’t mind my body anymore – something about getting older I think.
