How To Have An Epic Experience at Foxwoods Resort Guide
So what makes an experience epic? For me, it’s when I travel somewhere and I leave feeling like I saw, ate, and tried the best of everything that location has to offer. This guide will be covering a girl’s trip to Foxwoods Resort, so everything we cover here will be perfect for you and your besties!
The Best Restaurants at Foxwoods Resort Guide
You need to know my friends & I are total foodies (@jackiegiardina, @breakfastatetiffany). We love sharing the best of our home in Westchester County and recently we’ve been expanding our horizons to cover even more locations. After prior trips and research, I’m going to share the best restaurants at Foxwoods resort. All the food was exceptional at Foxwoods!
Dinner at Foxwoods Resort
Red Lantern Restaurant & Lounge (sushi special lobster tempura roll, lobster rangoons, edamame, shrimp lettuce wraps)
Red Lantern Restaurant & Lounge – Open every day for dinner only. If you love Asian cuisine don’t miss Red Lantern. It’s quite possibly one of my favorite meals to date. Lobster rangoons, shrimp lettuce wraps, and the chili shrimp stir fry. While I’m not drinking because I’m pregnant, Jackie’s lychee martini looked amazing. It had glitter in it!
Alta Strada – Open Wednesday – Sunday starting at 4 PM for dinner. Here’s my favorite dishes: Nonna’s meatballs, penne alla vodka, and the shrimp scampi. For dessert don’t miss the bomboloni!
The Sugar Factory Foxwoods – Open every day for lunch and dinner, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. If you don’t know the Sugar Factory it’s always a fun spot with themed decor. We had dessert cocktails one evening after dinner. I love that I was able to opt for a mocktail and still participate in the fun!
L to R: Cocktails at Sugar Factory (caramel macchiato martini, mint chocolate martinit, peanut butter cup mocktail), Sugar Factory, Alta Strada (Penne alla Vodka, Shrimp Scampi, Buratta, Nonna’s Meatballs)
Lunch at Foxwoods Resort
Cedars Foxwoods – Open for lunch and dinner, Wednesday – Sunday. Definitely get the lobster roll! If you love seafood, everything was so fresh and delicious here.
Breakfast at Foxwoods Resort
Caputo Trattoria – Open every day 7 AM – 2 PM, also open for dinner Thursday – Sunday. The breakfast here was delicious. You can opt for the buffet which looked great, but we decided to order custom omelets off the menu. My favorite part was the crispy cubes homefries!
Juniors Cheesecake Foxwoods – open every day 7 AM – 2 PM, also open for diner Thursday – Sunday. Perfect for a quick hot breakfast on your way out!

What is the best tower to stay in at Foxwoods?
While the Grand Pequot Tower is one of the top-rated places to stay at Foxwoods, we opted for the Fox Tower as it’s 100% non-smoking. My room overlooked the Tanger Outlets but I still had a stunning view of the Connecticut forest surrounding the area.

Which Spa is better at Foxwoods? The Norwich Spa at Foxwoods or The G Spa at Foxwoods?
When we were trying to figure out where to book our massages we realized the main difference between the Norwich Spa and the G Spa was the age restriction. The G Spa is for adults only, while the Norwich Spa allowed everyone. If you’re vacationing with your family, it’s definitely good news that the kids can play in the pool while you relax at the Spa. For our girl’s trip, we really wanted quiet so we opted for the G Spa.
There’s an indoor pool and hot tub, and an outdoor terrace that overlooks the Fox Tower Hotel Pool. I was also able to get a prenatal massage, which I would definitely take the trip back for!

The Best Things To Do At Foxwoods Resort Casino (that don’t include gambling!)
While obviously, Foxwoods Resort Casino is a casino, there are so many other experiences to check out.
Tanger Outlets Foxwoods- A girl’s trip isn’t complete without some shopping in my opinion and the Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods Resort didn’t disappoint. From Kate Spade to Coach, Michael Kors, and H&M, there are so many great stores, and deals to check out!
Spellbound Escapes – If you like escape rooms there are two fun escapes to try at Foxwoods Resort. You can book a private game with just you and your crew or you can escape with others.
High Rollers Luxury Lanes & Sports Lounge – If you want to go bowling make sure you get there before 8 PM and put your name down. Or make a reservation ahead of time. There are tons of food and drink options for a really fun night out!
Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center – Open Wednesday – Saturday, this Native American history museum, includes life-sized dioramas & a 16th-century village.
Have An Epic Experience at Foxwoods Resort Guide
Here are some Foxwoods Resort guide final thoughts. Definitely book what you can ahead of time. We didn’t get to go bowling because we didn’t plan for it. We thought we could have dinner and then go but it got too late. I would recommend having dinner while you play at High Rollers to avoid this issue.
There is A LOT of walking, Foxwoods Resort Casino is 6.7 million square feet. So while heels may sound nice, make sure you know how far you’re going to be walking to dinner before you opt for something less comfortable.
It’s the perfect trip for any season. Keep extra cool during hot summer days and get your steps in from the comfort of heat during the winter.
