This past weekend, Foxwoods Resort Casino invited me out for a weekend getaway! While I’ve been there before, the last time I went was for a bachelorette party. So I was excited to get some rest and relaxation this time around! Today I’m sharing all my looks, tips on what to bring, and my weekend getaway review below!
Foxwoods Resort Casino – My weekend getaway review:
Room: We stayed in the Fox Tower in a Producer Suite with a King bed on the 25th floor. The room was very spacious, with a sleeping area and a living area that looked out to the beautiful landscape. The view was absolutely stunning. The bathroom offered a standing shower and a jacuzzi along with a makeup mirror. The closet was also spacious and included the coziest robes!
Food: We had breakfast at Junior’s in the Fox Tower on Saturday morning. Coffee was hot, food and service were great. A little later I had some fruit and a croissant delivered to my room and we relaxed for a little. It only took about 15-20mins for them to bring up the fresh fruit. Yum! For dinner, we ate at Red Lantern in the Fox Tower. Service was quick and friendly and put up with my annoying questions. The spicy pad-thai is not that spicy and delicious! So were the chicken lettuce wraps. On Sunday we had brunch at VUE 24 in the Grand Pequot Tower that offered exceptional views, a bloody mary bar along with a breakfast and dessert bar! I also ate beef tartar for the first time, and let me tell you it was actually really good!
Activities: Casino – Find me a the roulette table! Ha! I’m actually such a sore loser I usually don’t like gambling but luckily I took my boyfriend along for this trip. He won $200! And probably would have won more I didn’t make him stop! Or not, who knows gambling is a gamble but the casino is definitely a lively fun place to hang out. Tanger Outlet Shopping Mall – The Tanger Mall was massive! It went from the Fox Tower hotel all the way to the Grand Pequot Tower in length. Tom grabbed some new golf shoes at Ecco while I opted for some Spring looks from H&M!
Transportation: We drove to our weekend getaway. From lower Westchester County to the resort it was almost exactly two hours. Which is also how long it takes to get out to the North Fork in the Summer so the ride felt quick and easy to us. Minimal traffic.
Overall it was such a fun and relaxing weekend. Next time I’m definitely trying out the zip line and hitting up the Spa! In the Summer there is a beautiful pool outside the Fox Tower that offers cabanas which I’ve done on a prior visit. If you’re in the tri-state area, I definitely recommend a weekend getaway at Foxwoods Resort Casino!

What you should bring to your weekend getaway:
- Comfy shoes. The resort is pretty big so you’ll be walking a lot. Especially if you decide to go shopping. Bring sneakers or flats you feel comfortable walking in for long periods of time.
- A night out look. There’s a club on the resort so if you plan on going there or heading out to a nice dinner you may want to bring a look you can wear out and comfy heels or booties.
- Something warm. The resort overall was a bit cold. Bring a denim jacket, even if you plan on going in the Summer.
After dinner drinks at the bar in the Fox Tower casino. I got a french martini, my new favorite!
Also, there’s Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts on site, pick your poison.
Last but not least, this was the look I wore in the car to the resort. It was a two-hour drive so I knew I wanted to be comfortable. I also wanted to maximize what I brought with me. The leggings and boots are both items I was able to wear again!
Finally, I really hope you liked this post! Leave a comment below if you want more travel posts. Or if you actually made it to the end of this post, would love to know! Haha!
