How To Find Your Strength

You were wild once, don’t let them tame you.

It’s funny the way fashion can make you feel. And this look made me feel powerful. The rich velvet navy blue, the statement necklace and slingback flats/ metallic booties gave this look such attitude and confidence. But that’s the thing about fashion, it can make you look like you are confident and strong but maybe you’re not. So, today I wanted to talk about finding your strength. When you feel weak and defeated, where do you look for your strength to get by?

How you can find your strength:

  1. Know where to look. First look to yourself. Know yourself and be confident in who you are. There is strength in confidence. Know what you like/ don’t like, what you stand for and your morals. If you’re not sure make a list of things you like/ don’t and things you would never do. This will clear up anything questionable. So when someone asks you if you want to do something, that you don’t actually want to do, you can confidently say no. That is strength.
  2. Fake it till you make it. Dress the part, smile at yourself in the mirror and know what you want. This goes back to my first point, but sometimes it’s takes some soul searching to get to know yourself. Until you feel strong, pretend you are. I know this may be hard especially after say a bad breakup or a loss, but if you act strong, you will become stronger. Even if you’re weak at the get-go. Manifest strength into your life.
  3. Physically make yourself stronger. Training yourself physically will help you mentally. Run the extra five minutes add the extra ten pound weights, challenge your body and your mind to push yourself further than you’ve ever thought you could go.

I’ve never met a strong person

with an easy past.

Unfortunately strength comes from overcoming obstacles. But don’t let these obstacles change the person you are. Strength can be mental or physical, but even physical strength requires mental strength. So, workout and be healthy, this will contribute to your overall strength.

Thank so much for reading! Fashion is my favorite way to make me feel good on the outside especially if I’m not feeling the best on the inside.
