The first item I ever purchased from Everlane was a cropped wide-leg pants. They were a thicker, almost denim-like material and in fact, are still in my wardrobe rotation today. When creating a capsule wardrobe you want to add items you can see yourself wearing in the years to come. Not one-hit-wonders. This Everlane Fall Capsule Wardrobe is a guide to get you thinking about what might be missing in your closet.
Another reason why I’m a big Everlane fan is that many of their items are available year after year. They are classic so why not keep them around?! This is why you can still shop many of the items included in last Fall’s Everlane capsule wardrobe post.
Going forward I’ll be updating this post each season. It’s too hard to keep the title with a set number of items and outfits, hence the post-title change! This time around there was no way I could limit my favorites to only ten pieces. You’ll also find a weekly outfit planner at the bottom of this post.
Alright, now onto your Everlane Fall Capsule wardrobe!

You may have noticed I only included one pair of pants. Five out of seven days a week I’m grabbing the same jeans, so in the spirit of that I kept the bottoms limited. Denim isn’t supposed to be washed after every wear (unless they’re truly dirty). To keep your jeans in tip-top shape it’s actually better to spot-clean them. Unless you live in New York City, in which case wash your pants and check out this capsule wardrobe guide for more bottoms I love.
These posts should always first serve as a reminder that most of the time more clothing isn’t the answer. But mindful selection going forward is.
