It’s the most wonderful time of the year! To buy new denim that is. Bloomingdale’s White Plains Denim Days Sale has been occurring bi-annually for as long as I can remember. I even purchased my first pair of designer jeans when I was 18 during their denim days sale!
Today I’m sharing my top picks from my favorite brands including, 7 For All Mankind, DL 1961, and J Brand. I’m also going to breakdown why to shop in-store, vs online. I bet you can’t guess why I like shopping in-store better!
Bloomingdale’s White Plains Denim Days Sale – Everything You Need To Know
Presale begins today, Monday, August 26th.
What is a presale?
A presale is a way to shop before the sale officially begins. Pick out denim you love ahead of time, then pre-purchase it with the denim days discount. You can pick your items up the first day of the sale, Thursday, August 29th. If you can’t pick them up then, don’t worry! Bloomies will hold your items and contact you after thirty days if you forget to pick them up. Head into Bloomingdale’s White Plains and any denim specialist can assist you with your presale!
What are the dates of the sale?
The Denim Days Presale will be offered today through Wednesday, August 28. The Denim Days Live Sale runs from Thursday, August 29th through Monday, September 2nd.
How much do I get off my purchase?
Save 15% on 1 pair of regular-price Women’s or Men’s Denim, or 25% on 2 or more pairs.
Offer includes most brands – Brands that are not included may be eligible for alternate savings!
A sales associate at the store can provide all the fine print, but overall it is the best sale of the season for denim by far.
Tailoring included
On Tuesday, August 27 and Wednesday, August 28, during the presale window – they are offering complimentary basic hems (usually $25) in both men’s and women’s. You can shop then, get measured for the hem, and then pick up your jeans anytime starting Thursday, August 29!

These men and women know their stuff! It’s so easy for them to look at my body and help me choose cuts that will flatter me. They can show you what just hit the floor, they know all the trends for Fall and they can offer a great opinion when you need it.

You can always find brand merchandisers in the store before and during a sale. They usually come up from New York City to make sure their merchandise looks pristine and that the denim specialists have all the latest information on the collection. This is a GREAT opportunity to meet these professionals in person.
Don’t pass up your sales associates either. They’re master sellers and quite creative when it comes to all the facets of their job. Working in retail is a great way to get experience in a customer-facing role and is a great experience to have if you want to work in any aspect of fashion.
My Top Denim Days Sale Picks
Brand: J Brand
Trend: Animal Print
This grey and black zebra print can easily pair back with all those black sweaters in your wardrobe. This print also isn’t your traditional leopard (which I love) but is also very neutral due to its lack of color.
I paired them with this grey and black eye cashmere sweater. When pairing different prints a pro tip is to keep the colors similar. It girls during fashion week can wear just about any print together and make it look good, but personally, I find keeping the color palette similar is the best way to rock this look with confidence.

Trend: Plaid
If you’re not quite the all plaid pant kind of girl, I get it. It can feel like a lot of print. These 7 For All Mankind jeans add a bit of this trend on the cuff up, making the plaid more of an interesting detail than a full blow trend item. I personally think these jeans will be something I’m happy to have for years to come.
Another great reason to shop in-store is finding jeans like these that aren’t online. Eventually, almost everything ends up online but in-store shopping allows you the opportunity for the first pick! Grab these bad boys at Bloomingdale’s White Plains before everyone else!

These rich warm leather pants are a luxe addition to your denim collection. A few years back I tried my hardest to find leather pants, but none of them were ever ‘the ones’. These, they are the one. I love that they’re a crop boot cut, making them fitted on my waist and thighs, and loser from them knee down making them very flattering.
I paired them with a distressed forest green cashmere hooded sweatshirt. Another in-store only find!

Trend: Paper Bag
Sick of the usual but not ready to jump into a full blow trend? I give you the paper bag waist. These DL 1961 jeans are the perfect play on old and new. Pair them with a striped sweater like I did or a long sleeve turtleneck bodysuit with heels for a night out.
