The Best Netflix Shows I Guarantee You Haven't Watched- Movies - Simply by Simone - Cozy - Fall #netflix #netflixshows #netflixseries #whattowatch #fall #fallfashion #fashion #outfit #style #pj #pajamas #bedding #interiorinspiration #bedroom #decor #home

Did you know I started watching Netflix because I dislike watching most movies? Nor do I watch reality TV or follow many TV shows, except for maybe the Curse of Oak Island and Rick and Morty. My taste in television entertainment is interesting, to say the least, as are my Netflix selections. I learned that the hard way.

I started watching Netflix so when people we’re talking about their guilty viewing pleasures, I could have something to add. Little did I know the shows and movies I chose to watch were the ones NO ONE was watching. I mean no one. So today I have a great roundup of the best Netflix Shows I Guarantee You Haven’t Watched.

The Best Netflix Shows I Guarantee You Haven’t Watched

The 100

The 100 (@cw_the100) on

This show takes place in the future, where Earth is no longer inhabitable and the survivors are living in space. Clarke, the main character, really makes me love this show. She’s a total boss babe but is also strategic when it comes to surviving. And here’s a fair warning, plenty of characters get killed off. They’re sent back to earth in the first episode and are constantly fighting to survive, so I mean I get it. Normally that would bother me about a show, and make me stop watching it. But since the integrity of Clarke’s character is always pretty consistent I’m cool with it. With six seasons to binge-watch trust me you won’t get sick of this (or run out of episodes to watch)!

Season 7 will be the last, coming out next year.

Glitch

So I haven’t finished this series yet, but I can tell you I’m on season two and I don’t plan to stop watching. There are three seasons total and I usually slow down watching a show towards the end to try and savor it when I know I’m approaching a final season!

A police officer and a doctor in Australia team up after seven people come back from the dead. And, no, they aren’t zombies, they come back healthy and normal. There are plenty of twists and turns and I can’t wait to see this Netflix show pan out!

Peaky Blinders

Peaky Blinders (@peakyblindersofficial) on

It’s funny that this show made it to the list of the best Netflix shows I guarantee you haven’t watched because I didn’t even want to watch it myself! Ha! Tom begged me to watch the first episode and I complained the entire time. But then, I decided I really liked it (in true girlfriend of the year fashion LOL).

This show takes place after the Great War, in Britain, in 1919. The Peaky Blinders are a gang of gypsies who are trying to become legit businessmen. It’s significantly violent, and gory… like someone is getting murdered or beat up in every episode. I personally cover my eyes for most of those scenes and still have been able to enjoy the show. Tommy Shelby, the main character is arguably one of the best parts of this Netflix show.

The 4400

Laura Allen (@laura_allenla) on

In this Netflix show I guarantee you haven’t watched, 4,400 people who were presumed dead or missing over the past 50 years return. They are exactly the same as when the day they left, but they all come back with powers. There are a lot of characters but they all have interesting stories. Some come back to families, others come back to a completely different world than the one they left. It’s interesting to watch these characters work their way back into society, especially when the government is all over them.

Jericho

Nicholas Dawson (@terrorontap1) on

Jericho is a two-season Netflix show I wished had more seasons! It was so interesting – homegrown terrorists bomb almost all the major US cities and it’s about how the townspeople of Jericho deal with being totally cut off from society. As do many other small towns. They really start to struggle when fuel and food start running out and Winter is approaching. It’s so crazy and feels so authentic — if something like this would ever happen I feel like it would play out in a very similar way. I’m not a doomsday prepper but this show could maybe make me one.

The Travelers

TRAVELERS (@trvlrsseries) on

The Travelers is another sci-fi show that takes place in the present where people of the future figure out a way to send their consciences back into current people’s bodies. They do this to try and save the world, but since in the future two sides are fighting over how to save the world, it gets chaotic in the present. It’s a quick watch with only two seasons, but I  swear it’s one of the best Netflix shows I guarantee you haven’t watched!

Lost In Space

Lost In Space (@lostinspace) on

Lost in Space season 2 returns Dec 24th and I couldn’t be more excited. Honestly, I use “Danger, Will Robinson!” anytime the situation presents itself LOL. This one takes place 30 years in the future and guess what, Earth is dying. The family chooses to go to space, and similar to the original 1965 series, their ship gets lost and crashes on a planet. I love the imagination behind creating this alien planet, the interesting family dynamic (before they went to space the father was in the military and gone often) and the trouble Will gets into.

Continuum

Maddyrae Media® | Editing (@maddyraemedia) on

Continuum is another sci-fi thriller (typical for me at this point, I know) that takes place in Vancouver, Canada. But what I think I loved most about this 4 season series is the relationship Kiera, a cop from the future, and Alec, a genius young adult, in the present have. Kiera traveled back in time when a bunch of criminals created a Continuum on their sentencing day in the future. Most of the episodes are spent watching her navigate this new (old) world and trying to catch the criminals and figure out a way to get back to the future.

To Wrap Up The Best Netflix Shows I Guarantee You Haven’t Watched…

After compiling this list of Netflix shows I guarantee you haven’t watched I realized I obviously have a “type” of show. Either really far in the future or the past. Nothing 100% set in the present day.
